RICHMOND, Va. -- Skies will be mostly cloudy overnight, with lows in the mid to upper 30s.

There will be a little sunshine on Sunday, but the clouds will eventually win out. It will remain fairly cool, with highs in the low to mid 50s. A few showers are possible near VA Beach and the Eastern Shore.

A cold front will pass by on Tuesday with the threat for a shower or two. Highs will be in the mid 60s. Wednesday will then be a little cooler with a mix of sun and clouds.

Our highest rain chances region-wide will come on Thursday. By the way, the vernal equinox, the astronomical start to Spring, occurs at 11:50 p.m.

It will be very warm on Friday ahead of an approaching cold front. That front may trigger a few showers and thunderstorms by evening. A few more showers are possible Saturday morning, with a clearing trend to follow. However, gusty winds will usher in much cooler air next weekend.
