Hour-by-hour look at rain for weekend

RICHMOND, Va. -- Skies will be cloudy overnight, with some showers around and lows generally in the low and mid 40s. A few readings in the upper 30s are possible well north and west of Richmond.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy. There will be a few showers around in the morning, and the theat for a spotty shower at any time during the afternoon. Highs will range from the mid 40s to low 50s.

Monday looks dry, although there will be quite a few clouds around. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s.

A cold front will pass by on Tuesday with the threat for a shower or two. Highs will be in the mid 60s. Wednesday will then be a little cooler with a mix of sun and clouds.

Our highest rain chances region-wide will come on Thursday. By the way, the vernal equinox, the astronomical start to Spring, occurs at 11:50 p.m.

A few more showers are possible on Friday, as a rather strong cold front approaches from the west. It will be quite warm ahead of the front, with temperatures well into the 70s. However, it will cool down significantly next weekend.
