RICHMOND, Va. -- It will be very warm and muggy overnight, with partly cloudy skies and lows in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
Sunday will offer a mix of sun and clouds, with afternoon highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. A few thunderstorms will again be possible, with the best chances west of I-95.
It will stay hot and humid for the week ahead with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. While rain chances will be a bit lower Tuesday and Wednesday, we’re likely to see an isolated storm or two pop up. A few scattered storms are more likely Thursday, with the highest rain chances region-wide coming on Friday, as an upper low moves near the area.
In the tropics: Tropical Depression #5 developed this morning and is now just west of Bermuda. It is expected to track northeastward, just north of Bermuda and away from the US coastline. It may become Tropical Storm Edouard, although significant strengthening is not likely.
