GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. -- A multi-vehicle crash on Patterson Avenue, near Route 288 in Goochland, remained under investigation Monday, according to the Goochland Sheriff's Office.
Drivers began calling 911 about a vehicle headed east in the westbound lanes of Patterson Avenue at about 7:05 p.m. Friday.
When deputies arrived on scene, they determined the wrong-way driver had already struck a Hyundai Sonata and a Toyota.
The wrong-way driver's vehicle was overturned in the median of Patterson Avenue near the Goochland and Henrico County line.
The wrong-way driver was taken to the hospital.
The driver's condition has not yet been released.
The other injured drivers were treated and released from the hospital, according to the sheriff's office.
Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
