CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A Chesterfield woman is crediting her neighbors for "documenting the fall" of her dock after major flooding over the weekend.
"After a crazy amount of rain today, our dock was swept over the Falling Creek Reservoir dam," Cathy Smith Lester wrote. "Damn."
The North Chesterfield family was at the beach in New Jersey when their dock floated away.
The family was told their dock floated about a mile down the creek to the dam off Hopkins Road.
Lester thanked her neighbors, Lenny and Salina, for capturing the moment on video.
