LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. -- The Washington Redskins announced the hiring of full-year coaching intern Jennifer King.
With the hire, King becomes the first female coach for the Washington Redskins.
"Jennifer is a bright young coach and will be a great addition to our staff," Redskins Head Coach Ron Rivera said in a prepared statement. "Her familiarity with my expectations as a coach and my firsthand knowledge of her work ethic and preparation were big factors in bringing her to the Redskins."
King interned for the Carolina Panthers during the offseason in 2018 and 2019.
With the Redskins she will work with the offensive staff throughout the course of the offseason, training camp, and regular season.
