HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – It was a Mother’s Day to remember in Varina this weekend, when the baby shower for a mom-to-be got Zoom-bombed by a Super Bowl champion!
“It’s awesome! I can’t wait to, at some point, meet baby Bash!” said Michael Robinson, a former fullback for the Seattle Seahawks and current analyst for the NFL Network.
Robinson made a cameo during Heather Safley's virtual baby shower on Saturday. Safley is a longtime fan of Robinson’s, having graduated from the same high school.
“We have a Super Bowl champion on the screen with us!” Safley excitedly told her guests, one of whom was CBS 6’s Bree Sison.
“Just wanted to pop up, say hi and I appreciate you guy’s support. And I appreciate your support for this baby that is about to come into this world!” Robinson told the group.
Safley is expecting her first child, a boy named Sebastian, later this summer.
Since retiring from the NFL, Robinson has worked for the Big 10 Network and the NFL Network. He also hosts a podcast, The Real Mike Rob Report.
