RICHMOND, Va. -- Trader Joe's opened its first store within the city limits of Richmond on Friday.
The new location is in South Richmond at Stoney Point Shopping Center in Bon Air.
Since 2008, Trader Joe's shoppers only had the Short Pump location as their local opion.
Friday's grand opening was complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, live music, and giveaways.
Trader Joe's will be open until 9 p.m.
Social-distancing measures, mask requirements, and occupancy limits are in place.
