HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- The American Cancer Society is hosting Relay For Life luminaria events across Central Virginia this weekend.
A drive-thru event took place Saturday evening at Innsbrook.
Each luminaria represents a cancer survivor, a caregiver, or someone who has died from cancer.
Roxanne Bowles, a two-time cancer survivor, said events like Saturday’s are crucial.
“You know that folks are supporting you, and that people care, and that we're looking for a cure,” Bowles said. “We're trying every day. We're striving.”
All proceeds from the event benefit the American Cancer Society. Click here to learn more of if you would like to make a donation.
