Sugar Shack Donuts vandalized in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Police are investigating after Sugar Shack Donuts in Richmond was vandalized early Friday morning.

Officers were called to the business in the 1000 block of North Lombardy Street for the report of a person breaking a window of the business at approximately 3:20 a.m.

Sugar Shack says two employees were in the building at the time of the vandalism and were unharmed. The company says the location will be closed Friday and Saturday for cleanup.

Police say there is no information about a motive or circumstances for the vandalism at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000. Richmond Police is also reminding residents who witness vandalism or the damaging of property, to call 911.
