HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Henrico Police arrested an 18-year-old man for allegedly firing gunshots around an apartment complex off of Staples Mill Road on Thursday.
Police responded to the 4100 block of Townhouse Road around 3:15 p.m. after they received reports of someone walking through the complex with a gun and gunshots being heard.
When police arrived, they also heard the gunshots.
After investigating for a couple of hours, police took Bryson Bush into custody and charged him with reckless handling of a firearm.
Officials said Staples Mill Road between Dumbarton and Penick Road were closed for a period of time while they investigated, but it reopened a few hours later.
A witness said he heard shots before police arrived.
"I went down there and then the next thing you know, it was four shots...," Quentin Hite said. "And then next thing you know know, one car, two cop cars, seven cop cars, 20 cop cars."
