RICHMOND, Va. -- Virginia’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will again release emergency allotments of benefits to eligible households.
The allotments will be distributed to households who are not already receiving the maximum amount as part of their regular monthly benefit.
Benefits will be automatically loaded to each recipients’ Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards, and eligible recipients can expect to have benefits available on Saturday, January 16.
The emergency allotments raise each household’s monthly allotment to the maximum allowable based on household size as follows:
