HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Wednesday marked the second time there's been a gun battle in a Henrico parking lot in less than a week.

Crime Insider sources said a woman was driving by and her car was hit with a bullet Wednesday afternoon around 3 p.m.

Forensic officers examined the damaged Tesla after a bullet went through the back hatch.

Crime Insider sources said the woman driving had her infant in tow but both are OK.

"I don't want to get shot in the back working,” said Marshall Broughman, who works for a landscaping company that takes care of the Saint Luke’s Apartment complex.

He said his blower was loud, but he still heard the shots.

"I just feel like this area is the wild, wild west,” Broughman said. “It's running wild. It really is. Obviously there's a huge police presence but it just seems people do what they want now."

One man living near Delmont said the gunfire sounded like a cannon going off, with repetitive shots, at least 10, he said.

Police confirm it started at the parking lot of a convenience store on Laburnum Ave, the same scene of a shooting on Saturday.

"You really have to be vigilant, just constantly scanning," said Broughman.

Broughman said that's been his saving grace thus far, in an area where just two weeks ago, he stumbled upon a loaded .45.

"Loaded and one in the chamber,” Broughman said. “I turned it in because I don't want some kid seeing it and something tragic happening."

Police are asking for help and if you saw the gunfight Wednesday afternoon, or know who's involved, they want to hear from you.
