UPDATE: Detectives have located Asijah Demary, the police department announced at 7:30 a.m., She was safe and unharmed..
PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Detectives are searching for Asijah A. Demary.
The 12-year-old Portsmouth girl was last seen leaving her home in the 1900 block of Elm Avenue at 10 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2020.
Police believe she ran away from home.
“No one has seen or had contact with Asijah since she left, without permission,” a police spokesperson said.
She was described as approximately 5’4” tall and 90 pounds. She has brown eyes and black/blue hair. Asijah was last seen wearing a red sweater with gray stripes, blue jeans, and brown boots.
