RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond band Butcher Brown will provide music for ESPN's new "Monday Night Football" opening.

The 5-part jazz and funk fusion band will provide instrumentals for a cover of Little Richard's song "Rip It Up."

The song will replace Hank Williams Jr.'s “All My Rowdy Friends Are Here on Monday Night."

ESPN made the decision to switch the song due to the empty stadiums that football games will take place in due to COVID-19.
