NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. -- The remains of a missing woman was discovered inside a vehicle Wednesday morning in New Kent County.
Deputies say two hunters discovered a vehicle in a wooded area off Henpeck Road. The hunters contacted the New Kent Sheriff’s Office, around 11:00 a.m.
Deputies responded to the scene and located the vehicle which was registered to Joan Marie Orr, who was reported missing by her family on Feb. 15, 2020
Orr had last been seen by her family leaving her home on Tunstall Road.
Upon further investigation, Orr's remains were discovered inside the vehicle.
Orr's remains were transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond for further examination and positive identification.
Deputies say foul play is not suspected in this case at this time.
