Police: Victim 'shot at least one time' in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a person wounded in Richmond's Gilpin Court public housing neighborhood Saturday evening.

Lt. Ken Roane with Richmond Police said officers were called to the 200 block of W. Coutts Street for reports of a person shot just after 6:35 p.m.

"Once on scene, officers found a victim who had been shot at least one time," Roane said.

Police called the victim's injuries not life-threatening.

No suspect information nor additional details were available at last check.
