Police identify man shot, killed in Richmond neighborhood

RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Police have identified the man shot and killed in Richmond's Fulton neighborhood last week as Edward Agurs, a male in his 30s.

Officers were called to the neighborhood for the report of shots fired at approximately 3:30 p.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located Agurs in the 1300 block of Nelson Street suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he died.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.

Detectives determined the shooting occurred nearby, in the 1400 block of Garber Street.
