Police identify man killed in shooting on Richmond's East End

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have identified a man killed at a Richmond apartment complex Sunday afternoon as Shaheem King, a male in his 20s.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Admiral Gravely Boulevard in the East End for a report of a shooting just after 12:30 p.m.

"Once on scene, they found King on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds," police said. "He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died."

The shooting was the first of two fatal shootings at the apartment complex Sunday. Police are still investigating if the shooting are related.

Police have not released any information about a suspect nor motive at this time.
