Police identify man killed in Richmond McDonald's shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Police have identified the man killed in a shooting on Monday at a Richmond McDonalds.

Jaquan Dixon died on scene in the shooting that injured four others.

Police say that they initially received a call around 6:30 pm about a fight involving an armed person near the McDonalds at 6850 Forest Hill Avenue.

Four of the victims were found in the McDonalds parking lot while a fifth victim was found across the street in the Food Lion shopping center.

A car was seen in the McDonalds parking lot with shattered windows and bullet holes, and witnesses said they heard dozens of gunshots and hid for cover.

Crime Insider sources said that four guns have been recovered in connection to the shooting.

The other four victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Two of them suffered life-threatening injuries.

Detectives believe this was an isolated incident. They are working to identify the shooting suspect and anyone else involved.
