Police identify man found shot to death in parked Richmond car

RICHMOND, Va. – Police have identified the 22-year-old man found shot to death inside of a parked car Wednesday morning in Richmond.

Officers received a call for a report of a vehicle parked in an alley on the even side of the 3200 block of Cliff Avenue at approximately 9:11 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found Ronald Cosby Jr. inside the vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Police say they are investigating the fatal shooting as a homicide.

Investigators have not yet disclosed information about a shooting suspect.
