Police find shooting victim at convenience store

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police are investigating a shooting that wounded a man in Richmond's East End Sunday evening.

Richmond Police officials said First Precinct officers responded to the 1100 block of N. 25th Street after hearing gunfire just before 7:55 p.m.

Officers found a wounded 19-year-old man at a nearby convenience store a short time later, according to police.

He was transported to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, officials said.

No description of the suspect was available at last check.

"Officers and detectives continue to investigate this matter," police said.
