NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. -- The New Kent County School Board voted Wednesday to give parents the option to choose if they want their kids to return to school virtually or with a hybrid learning schedule this fall.
The board urged parents to choose the option that was best and safest for their family.
Classrooms will be socially distanced, schedules will be staggered, and educational plans will vary by grade level.
Students will be required to have daily health screenings and face masks will be encouraged but not required.
