RICHMOND, Va. -- After deadly gunfire in Mosby Court, a mother learned of her daughter's murder Monday night through a frantic call from a friend on Facebook Messenger.
One day later, Wanda Scott said wants whoever pulled the trigger to turn themselves in and face justice.
"She still knew people over there, so it wasn't unusual for her to stop through and talk to people she knew," Scott said.
Surveillance video taken on Coalter Street in Mosby Court captures 27-year-old Kieshell Walker's final moments.
Crime Insider sources say a sedan pulled alongside her car and opened fire Monday evening. Several rounds shot out, before the driver sped off.
The mother of two stumbled out the passenger seat and onto the sidewalk, where a longtime friend started CPR until paramedics arrived seconds later.
"These killings need to stop!” Scott said, “Innocent people are getting hurt. I'm tired! If anybody knows anything, please come forward."
CI sources say that detectives do not believe that Walker was the intended target.
Walker was pronounced dead at VCU Medical Center, the very place where she worked as a cleaner.
It was a job she loved because it allowed her to provide for her boys.
"Her life was about her boys and family,” said her mother. “She loved family. My daughter, she didn't deserve this."
