RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have released photos of the "suspect and vehicle of interest" in last week's East End shooting that killed a 30-year-old father.
Officers were called to the 1900 block of Redd Street for a shooting around 7:45 p.m. last Wednesday.
When officers arrived, they found Marquis Bushnell on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds.
Police said Bushnell was transported to an area hospital where he died of his injuries.
“Marquis Bushnell was a father who had just moved to the area,” Major Crimes Detective A. Darnell said. “He was shot and killed while carrying groceries in for his family. We know someone out there has information that can help us bring justice for his family.”
The vehicle is described as a black or dark-colored, newer model Dodge Journey SUV with dark wheels, silver accents and no front license plate.
Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call Detective A. Darnell at 804-646-3927 or contact Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000. The P3 Tips Crime Stoppers app for smartphones also may be used. All Crime Stoppers reporting methods are anonymous.
