RICHMOND, Va. -- A death investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death in a Richmond field Monday morning.
Officers were called to the 1500 block of North 21st Street for the report of a person down at approximately 6:49 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found a man in a field suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced at the scene.
The field is located between North 20th and 21st Streets and U and V Streets.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
