CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. - A missing three-year-old girl in Caroline County is reunited with her family thanks to the sharp eye of a Chesterfield Flight Paramedic.

In a Facebook post, Virginia State Police said that the girl had chased after her family's yellow lab and gotten lost in the woods.

From the hundreds of feet in the air, Chesterfield County Flight Paramedic Nik Ronesi spotted the lab's fluorescent collar.

The medflight landed and Ronesi walked through a waist-high marsh and picked up the little girl.

"Aside from cold and a few scratches, she was not injured & got a quick flight back to her house where she was reunited with her parents," the Facebook post reads.
