Expect traffic in these areas of Richmond on July 4

RICHMOND, Va. -- Protests and events are expected to effect traffic throughout Richmond on July 4.

Drivers can expect increased traffic near the State Capitol and Robert E. Lee Monument throughout the day on Saturday.

If you plan to be in the City, expect possible delays near the following:

State Capitol:

  1. North 9th Street between Broad Street and Main Street
  2. Main Street from 9th Street to 14th Street

Lee Monument:

  1. Monument Avenue and Allen Avenue
