HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Family and friends came together Saturday afternoon to celebrate a World War II veteran turning 100 years old.

Donald "Spec" Campen served on a B-17 during the war as part of the 303rd Hell's Angels bomb group that flew missions in the European Theatre.

Cars streamed by in a drive-by parade in honor of Mr. Campen at Echo Lake Park in Glen Allen. The parade featured police and a Henrico fire engine.

“I love you. Happy Birthday,” one well-wisher said.

“I salute you,” another man said.

Thank you for your service and Happy Birthday, Mr. Campen!
