HANOVER COUNTY, Va. -- A small dog was killed and a man suffered minor burns in a Monday morning house fire.
Hanover Fire and EMS was called to the home along the 17200 block of Taylor's Creek Road in Montpelier.
A passerby saw the front porch of the home on fire and called for help.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
