RICHMOND, Va. -- A Richmond dog was recovering after being shot early Tuesday morning, according to a Richmond Animal Care and Control social media post.
"Apollo was shot at close range with a shotgun," the post read. "His body is riddled with bullets (birdshot) and his condition is guarded."
Richmond Animal Care and Control said it was investigating the drive-by shooting which reportedly occurred in South Richmond along the 3400 block of Clydewood Avenue.
"Our team is busy working this investigation, but we need your help to find the person(s) responsible," the post continued. "Anyone recognize that car? Anyone out walking at 4 a.m. that saw/heard/told anyone anything?"
