Crime Insider: One injured in Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- A man is in critical condition following a Richmond shooting on Wednesday afternoon.

Around 1:58 p.m., officers were called to the 3300 block of Cofer Road for the report of a person shot.

Officers arrived and found a man who had suffered an apparent gunshot wound.

He was transported to a local hospital with a life-threatening injury.

Also at the scene, a vehicle was damaged as it left the roadway and caught fire.

A woman in the vehicle was injured and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Division are investigating.
