RICHMOND, Va. -- Crime Insider sources tell CBS 6 more than 100 shots were fired during a shootout in Richmond's Gilpin Court neighborhood Friday afternoon.
Those sources say the shootout took place right next to Interstate 95 north and southbound lanes in the 100 block of Baker Street. Sources say several cars and a pickup truck were involved in the shootout.
Crime Insider sources say a man popped up out of the bed of a pickup truck and sprayed more than 100 rounds with an Uzi, leaving more than 100 shell casings on Baker Street.
So far, one person has showed up to VCU Medical Center with injuries.
Sources say several vehicles were struck during the shooting.
Those sources say this wasn't the only shootout in Richmond Friday.
Crime Insider sources say there was another shootout in Creighton Court in the 2000 block.
In that shooting, bullets hit a car driving through the neighborhood, shattering glass and injuring a woman inside.
Police have not released any information about a suspect or motive in the shootings at this time.
