CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A crash involving an overturned dump truck shut down eastbound Hull Street Road near Sappony Road in Chesterfield County for nearly two hours Friday morning.
Chesterfield Police said the dump truck lost control, ran off the road and hit a tree around 10:45 a.m.
That tree then fell onto the road and blocked traffic, according to police.
All eastbound lanes reopened just before noon, according to VDOT officials.
"The westbound right lane is closed for remaining crash cleanup," officials warned. "Continue to expect delays in the area."
However, all lanes had reopened at the scene was clear as of about 12:40 p.m.
