5th suspect arrested after 17-year-old killed in Henrico's West End

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A fifth suspect has been arrested in connection to the murder of a 17-year-old boy was killed in Henrico's West End earlier this month.

Saki Nowacki, 21, of Richmond, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the killing of a 17-year old, whose name has not been released because he was a juvenile.

On July 7, officers were called to an apartment complex along the 9500 block of Crown Court, near Gaskins Road and West Broad Street, just after 12:30 a.m.

"First responders arrived on the scene and determined a juvenile male was shot," a Henrico Police spokesperson said. The 17-year-old victim died from his injuries.

Nowacki's arrest comes afterfour teenagers were arrested in the case.

Malik J. Gary and Thai-Kee Dunn-Brown, both 19 years old, as well as two juveniles have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

The names of the other two suspects are being withheld because they are juveniles.

"While these charges have been placed, it is essential to contact the police immediately if you know anything about this incident," said a Henrico Police spokesperson.
