HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Police said four teenagers have been apprehended after a 17-year-old boy was killed in Henrico's West End early Tuesday morning.

Police were called to an apartment complex along the 9500 block of Crown Court, near Gaskins Road and West Broad Street, just after 12:30 a.m.

"First responders arrived on the scene and determined a juvenile male was shot," a Henrico Police spokesperson said. "The victim, a 17-year old male, has succumbed to the injuries received."

Police said Saturday that 19-year-old Malik J. Gary and 19-year-old Thai-Kee Dunn-Brown as well as two juveniles have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

The names of the other two suspects are being withheld because they are juveniles.

Gary and Dunn-Brown have been arrested and transported to the Henrico County Jail.

"While these charges have been placed, it is essential to contact the police immediately if you know anything about this incident," police said. "You can call Crime Stoppers 780-1000 or submit an anonymous tip on the “p3Tip” app."

The victim's name has not been released because he is a juvenile.

Police said their investigation into the case is ongoing.
