CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police are investigating after a 14-year-old was shot in Midlothian Thursday evening.
Officers were called to the 10200 block of Ronaldton Road for a shooting report at 6:10 p.m., according to Chesterfield Police.
"Shots were fired here," Crime Insider Jon Burkett said. "Police responded and found a 14-year-old that was shot."
Crime Insider sources said the child's injuries appeared to be not life-threatening
A man and woman were detained at the scene, according to Crime Insider sources.
But those sources said one of those people was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant unrelated to the shooting.
Police are not looking for suspects at this time, officers said.
"This is the same house where that was involved -- about seven or eight months ago -- in a homicide where a young man ended up at the Lucks Lane Shell station with a bullet wound and he was pronounced dead," Burkett said.
