HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- One person was injured in a fire that condemned a West End home not far from the Country Club of Virginia Saturday afternoon.
Henrico Fire officials said crews were called to a fire at a home on Lorraine Station Road in Tuckahoe around 2:30 p.m.
When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy flames and smoke coming from the house.
It took crews just under an hour to get the fire, which spread to the home's second floor, under control.
Because of the extent of the damage, the house was condemned, according to officials.
One person suffered injuries that were described at not life-threatening.
Officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
