Spring snow closes Route 33 in Virginia

GREENE COUNTY, Va. — Snow and ice have closed Route 33, crossing Swift Run Gap, in Greene and Rockingham counties.

Snowplows continue clearing lanes on the mountain, according to VDOT.

Crews are plowing and treating Route 33 near the #Rockingham #Greene county line. We're working with @VaDOTCULP to get that mountain stretch fully reopened. Meanwhile, the #snow continues to fall… pic.twitter.com/4ZV8n8rIst
