CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. --Basheed I. Boatwright, 36, was shot and killed early Thursday morning in the driveway of a home on Eureka Drive in Chesterfield.

Chesterfield Police were called to the area of Eureka Drive and Aldwell Drive at about 3:10 a.m. for the shooting.

"Upon arrival, police located [Boatwright] outside a residence in the 7400 block of Eureka Drive," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson said. "Boatwright, of the 1200 block of Aldwell Drive, had been shot. He was transported to an area hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries."
