HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who robbed a bank in Henrico County Saturday afternoon.

Lt. Richard Cosby with Henrico police said the suspect entered the First Virginia Consumer Loans located in the 7000 block of Staples Mill Road at 3:40 p.m.

“Once inside he announced that this was a robbery,” Cosby said. “Although no weapon was displayed, the suspect kept his hand under his shirt as if he was holding a firearm. After robbing the institution of an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot across the parking lot.”

No one was injured.

Police described the suspect as a black male between 22-26 years old. He was between five feet eleven and six feet one inches tall with a thick build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt with dark-colored striped athletic shorts, white sneakers and a dark-colored baseball cap.

If you have information that could help investigators, call Henrico Police at 804-501-5277 or Richmond Metro Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
