Men charged in Powhatan stabbing

POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. — Two men were charged in a Sunday night stabbing in Powhatan County. Jesse Ray Moore, 24, of Amelia, and Jacob Moore, 21, were arrested and charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding.

“Powhatan Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a call advising of an assault in the 2200 block of Huguenot Springs Road in Powhatan,” a sheriff’s office spokesperson said about the Sunday evening incident. “Further investigation revealed that four males were involved in an altercation and one subject had been stabbed and transported to a local hospital.”

The stabbing victim was said to be recovering in the hospital.

The stabbing happened at about 5 p.m.
