RICHMOND, Va. – Police will increase patrols near the Monroe Park campus after a break-in occurred early morning, in the 100 block of S. Pine Street.
According to a posted communication alert from Virginia Commonwealth University, a suspect kicked in the back door of private residence at 9:48 a.m. on Feb. 3, 2016.
The suspect removed a rifle, with ammunition, and a gaming system from the property.
The man was last seen running north with a rifle through an alleyway towards West Cary Street.
No injuries have been reported.
The suspect was described as one male dressed in all black, wearing a black ski mask.
Police are on scene and both VCU Police and Richmond police have increased patrols in the area.
Richmond Police are leading the criminal investigation.
