Minor injuries in officer involved crash in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. — Two people, including a officer suffered minor injuries following a crash in Prince George County.

Police said an officer was traveling on Courthouse Rd. when she saw a collision occur behind her. The officer pulled into a driveway to turn around and check on the crash. As she backed out to turn around, another vehicle came and struck her vehicle from behind.

The officer and driver of the car that hit her were both transported to Southside Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. The officer has already been released.

There were no injuries in the initial crash.
