CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A man has died after the car he was riding in struck a tree in Chesterfield Saturday morning.
Police said the vehicle was headed south on the 12000 block of Second Branch Road around 9 a.m. when the driver lost control and the vehicle struck a tree. The vehicle's passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was transported to VCU Medical Center by helicopter.
Police are still investigating what caused the crash.
