HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A secluded mansion off River Road in Henrico is being offered for sale for the first time.
The 8,000-square-foot colonial-style home at 221 Dryden Lane was listed last week for $3.49 million.
Pooh and Bill Steele of The Steele Group | Sotheby’s International Realty are the listing agents. The couple said they are friends with the owners, listed in county property records as Robert J. and L. M. DeLorenzo.
Robert DeLorenzo is a neurologist at VCU Medical Center and a professor in VCU’s School of Medicine. The Steeles declined to discuss the DeLorenzos’ plans or why they are selling the house, which they had built in 1991.
“The DeLorenzos designed it, even to the point of the moldings,” Bill Steele said.
The owners purchased the 4.2-acre parcel in 1987 for $175,000. The land and the house, near the railroad tracks southwest of River Road’s interchange with Chippenham Parkway, were most recently assessed by Henrico County at a combined $1.62 million.
