RICHMOND, Va. — A comedy show organized to raise money in honor of late WTVR anchor Stephanie Rochon will take place June 24 at the Buffalo Wild Wings located at 8701 West Broad Street in Henrico County. Money raised at the event will be donated to a college fund for Stephanie’s two sons.
The shows are at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. All proceeds will go directly two her two children’s college scholarship fund. Tickets are $20 and are available at festivalofthelaugh.com. The Festival of the Laugh presents a great lineup of comedians that have donated their time and talent to make this a great night. All three of these comedians will perform at both shows.
The headliner: Micah Bam Bamm White
Since taking the stage for the first time in 1996, Micah has made a name for himself as a comedian, actor, executive coach and community supporter. The Birmingham, AL native has toured and performed with D.L. Hughley, Bob Sagat and many other top comedians.
The featured comedian: David C. Wingfield
David has performed with some of the most recognizable names in comedy, including Charlie Murphy (Chappelle’s Show), Dave Attell and John Witherspoon. He was also an audience warm-up comedian for ABC’s “Extreme Makeover.” In 2013, David was selected to compete in Comedy Central’s “Up Next” talent search.
The emcee: Jaye Toler
Jaye Toler, a Richmond native, started performing stand-up in 2009 by competing in local contests. After winning several of them, his career has taken off. He has traveled all over the East coast entertaining crowds…and he recently was the headliner at The Funny Bone in Richmond.
