NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. -- The ramps from Interstate 64 to Exit 211 in New Kent County were closed early Monday morning after someone called police about box with a funny odor spotted on the exit ramp.
Virginia State Police responded with their bomb squad robot. It was later determined the box was empty and the funny smell was the result of someone illegally dumping paint products near the ramp.
Police cleared the scene and re-open the ramps before 6 a.m.
