CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- You can work to protect yourself from identity theft by properly shredding old documents you no longer need. On Saturday, WTVR CBS 6, the Better Business Bureau and ProShed will team up to offer you free document shredding as part of Secure Your Identity Day.
The ProShed truck will be parked at the Better Business Bureau office at 720 Moorefield Park Drive in Chesterfield.
Items you can shred include:
- Old bank statements
- Old credit card statements
- Old tax returns
- Pay stubs
The event runs from 9 a.m. - noon on Saturday, April 18.
