Drive-by shooting victims ‘uncooperative’ with police investigation

HOPEWELL, Va. —  A Petersburg man and Hopewell teen were injured in an overnight drive-by shooting, according to Hopewell Police. The shooting happened at about 2:21 a.m. Sunday along the 4000 block of Oaklawn Boulevard.

“The adult victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and the 17-year-old victim refused medical treatment at the scene for a graze wound,” police said. “Both victims are uncooperative with the investigation.”

Police have not released information about the suspect vehicle, but have determined it appeared to be a drive-by shooting.
